Who we are
At Learning How, Inc, our state-of-the-art academic learning facility offers hands-on experiences through purposeful play. Educational research supports our philosophy that young children learn best when they are nurtured by caring adults within comfortable routines while engaging in explorative play.
Learning How!, was founded in 2000 by Nkenge Yasin. For the past 20 years, Learning How has been the solution for parents and community needs. Over it’s 20 years in business, Learning How! has evolved from Busy Bee’s Family Child Care with a capacity of 8 children to Learning How! Care Center with 31 students as we learned the needs of children stretched far beyond the care we provided in the physical location. Learning How!, an acronym that defines our values is committed to leveraging its trusting relationships with families to connect the to resources that allow them to thrive.

The families that we work with and for have become our best marketers. Satisfaction with our exemplary service has led them to refer so many families to us that we are consistently at maximum capacity at our existing center.
Using the current business model as the prototype for providing exceptional care, we are launching our second location in the Erdman Shopping Center, 2509 Edison Highway, Baltimore, MD 21213. Completion of extensive market research leads us to believe that offering our service in this area would have the greatest impact due to the projected population density, nearby businesses, and the proximity to local jobs and developing communities. Additionally, approximately 15-20 jobs will be created by Learning How, Inc., allowing us to potentially employ those who live in the area.
Our goal is simple – job creation, quality child-care, and exemplary service.
